Norman K. Denzin es profesor de comunicaciones, académico del College of Communications e investigador de la Universidad de Illinois, Urbana Champaign. Autor de numerosos libros, entre otros, "Interpretive Ethnography: Ethnographic Practices for the 21st Century"; "Images of Postmodern Society"; "The Research Act: A Theoretical Introduction to Sociological Methods", y muchos otros en distintas disciplinas y temáticas. Es editor de Sociological Quarterly, coedita Qualitative Inquiry, y edita la serie de libros "Cultural Studies: A Research Annual and Studies in Symbolic Interaction". Por sus trabajos y libros ha obtenido los premios Charles Cooley Award (1988) y el George Herbert Award (1997).
